The Infinity Kappa 1200W is a 12-inch car subwoofer engineered to deliver extreme output, accuracy, and detail for a moving audio experience. It incorporates innovative materials and breakthrough engineering, characteristic of Infinity's competitive product line. The Kappa Series subwoofers feature SSI™ (Selectable Smart Impedance), a proprietary HARMAN technology that allows you to select either a 2-ohm or 4-ohm impedance by simply flipping a switch, offering significant flexibility for various car audio system designs. The voice coil is kept cool by a proprietary aero-cooling design, featuring a two-sided, ducted airflow system. This not only optimizes power handling but also enhances long-term reliability, a feature unique among aftermarket subwoofers. Constructed with acoustically damped glass-fiber cones, the Kappa 1200W is built for exceptional accuracy and detail. These cones are inherently non-resonant, effectively eliminating distortion and ensuring that only the intended music is reproduced clearly. For power delivery, the premium screw-down terminals can accommodate up to 8-gauge wire, facilitating low-resistance, low-loss power transfer even over longer wire runs. The subwoofer handles 500W RMS and 2000W Peak power, with a sensitivity of 91dB and a frequency response ranging from 25Hz to 175Hz. A foam mounting gasket is included in the box.
