The Rockford Fosgate M1D4-12B is a 12-inch dual voice coil marine subwoofer that provides powerful bass and vibrant, customizable lighting. Engineered with an Element Ready™ design and an IPX6 certification, it is built to withstand the harsh conditions of marine and motorsport environments, including water spray, salt, and UV exposure. The subwoofer features ultra-bright, wide-angle RGB LEDs encapsulated for UV stability, ensuring long-lasting illumination. Installation is streamlined with integrated Deutsch™ and Amphenol™ connectors, making it a true marine ecosystem component. The VersaSwitch™ technology allows for easy impedance changes between 2-ohm and 8-ohm configurations, simplifying wiring. The M1D4-12B boasts a vented motor design with a water-repelling mesh screen, a 2-inch high-temperature Kapton™ woofer voice coil former, and fully insulated silicone tinsel leads. Its construction includes a 100% UV-stable ASA plastic frame and grille, along with marine-grade brass connection terminals. The subwoofer utilizes a Santoprene VAST Surround and a co-molded mineral-filled polypropylene cone body. Specifications include 300 Watts RMS power handling, a frequency response of 20 Hz - 750 Hz, and an SPL of 92 dB (1w/1m). To utilize the Color Optix™ lighting features, the Rockford Fosgate Color Optix™ Controller (sold separately) and the RF Connect App are required. The subwoofer comes with a 2-year warranty.
