Overview

The Kicker 48TRTP122 is a 12-inch down-firing loaded subwoofer enclosure designed to deliver powerful bass without consuming excessive space. It fits perfectly under truck seats or in trunks, utilizing an ultra-efficient design with a passive reFLEX™ subwoofer and a CompRT active sub for deep bass.

The enclosure features extensive internal bracing and thick MDF construction for durability. The CompRT subwoofer has a polypropylene cone with Santoprene surround, and SoloKon™ technology integrates the cone with the vented back brace for cooling and reduced distortion. Forced-Air Cooling™ technology helps the subwoofer run cooler.

The Kicker 48TRTP122 is a 12-inch down-firing loaded subwoofer enclosure engineered to provide significant bass output while maintaining a compact, space-saving profile. At its core, the TRTP enclosure houses a passive reFLEX™ subwoofer working in tandem with a CompRT active subwoofer. This dual-subwoofer configuration, pre-wired to a single 2-Ohm terminal, is capable of producing extremely low bass frequencies. Further enhancing its performance and reliability, the CompRT subwoofer features a durable polypropylene cone bonded to an improved Santoprene surround via signature red double stitching. KICKER's innovative SoloKon™ technology unifies the cone with the vented back brace, forming a single component that efficiently cools the motor and minimizes audio distortion. Additionally, Forced-Air Cooling™ technology is employed to keep the subs running up to 20 percent cooler than previous designs. This subwoofer enclosure is optimized to perform best with a recommended amplifier power of 500 watts RMS, handling peak power of 1000 watts per ANSI/CTA-2031-A. The sensitivity is rated at 98 dB at 1w/1m, with a tuning frequency of 35 Hz. The enclosure's dimensions are 27-1/2" wide, 14-5/8" top and bottom depth, and 6-1/8" height, making it a thin-profile solution for bass enhancement.
