It applies technology from Alpine's higher-end subwoofers to deliver the depth and punch that enhances your music. This subwoofer boasts an impressive power handling capability of 600 Watts RMS and 1800 Watts peak. Its wide frequency response range of 23Hz to 215Hz and a sensitivity of 86.2dB (SPL@1W/1m) ensure powerful and accurate bass reproduction across various music genres. Alpine's High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) Surround Technology is featured in this subwoofer. This rubber surround allows the cone to efficiently move air while staying cool, enabling up to 15mm of one-way cone excursion for incredible accuracy. The dual 2-Ohm voice coil design, along with easy configuration jumpers, simplifies installation and allows for system adaptation. The S2-W12D2 is equally suited for use in ported or sealed enclosures, providing flexibility to achieve either a tight, precise bass response or a larger, more boomy sound. For optimal performance, it can be powered by the 600W S2-A60M mono amplifier for a single subwoofer, or for greater impact, pair two or more S2-W12D2 subwoofers with the 1200W S2-A120M amp.
