The Speedmaster 12-Point Head Stud Kit is engineered for 1997-2003 Chevy LS engines, specifically the 3-bolt head stud configuration. Constructed from aircraft-quality 8740 chromoly steel, these studs are cold-forged to ensure molecular integrity and high tensile strength. The kit comes complete with 12-point nuts and hardened parallel washers, all featuring a durable black oxide finish for enhanced corrosion resistance. Installation notes for this kit suggest specific torque settings: 22 lbs for exhaust ports when using Moly Lube, and 28 lbs for exhaust ports when using motor oil. Always verify fitment and torque specifications before installation.
