The JBL GT-BassPro12 is a ported powered subwoofer enclosure designed to add significant bass impact to your vehicle's audio system. It houses a 12" subwoofer with a polypropylene cone and hi-roll rubber surround, driven by an integrated 150-watt RMS amplifier (450 watts peak power). JBL engineered this system for the car environment, tuning it for responsive low-frequency output. The enclosure utilizes a unique Slipstream port, which allows for a shorter port length and a wide-mouth opening. This design minimizes port noise and distortion, enabling a more compact enclosure while maintaining high performance. The robust medium-density fiberboard construction ensures durability, complemented by a carpet covering and a protective metal grille. Key specifications include a variable low-pass crossover ranging from 40-200 Hz at 12 dB/octave, a frequency response of 35-120 Hz, and a 25A fuse rating. The unit measures 22-1/2"W x 14-5/8"H x 12"D1 x 9-1/8"D2. An amp wiring kit is recommended for power, and a remote bass-level control is included for convenient adjustment.
