The BBR Motorsports 388-HXR-5211 is a high-strength, lightweight aluminum rim designed to enhance the performance and appearance of small 50-sized motorcycles. Crafted from 7000 series aluminum, it offers superior durability and a lower weight compared to stock steel rims, directly contributing to improved handling, acceleration, and braking by reducing unsprung mass. This 12" x 1.60" rim features 28 holes and a striking high-gloss, black anodized finish for a premium look and added corrosion resistance. It serves as an excellent upgrade for OEM 10" front wheels, offering a better selection of available 12" front tires. The dimpled design further contributes to its strength and performance. Installation notes indicate that replacing a 10" OEM rim with this 12" rim will require longer spokes. BBR Motorsports offers a compatible spoke kit, or alternative spokes can be used, with a note that spoke nipple holes measure approximately .275". The rim is drilled for typical Japanese spoke patterns found on models like the CRF/XR50, TTR50, and DRZ70. It is explicitly stated that these rims may not fit on Euro/Italian pattern hubs/spokes or Chinese knock-off bikes, and BBR does not offer rims for those applications. Buyers should also confirm class legality with their local racing organizations for 12" front wheel use.
