Overview

The BMW 120 Amp Alternator is a brand new, compact unit manufactured by Valeo in Poland. Symptoms of a failing alternator include battery drain, low voltage, dim lights, and non-functional electrical systems.

Show original supplier description

The Valeo 120 Amp Alternator is a direct replacement for the OE unit in select BMW M3 and Z3 models equipped with the S54 engine. This brand new alternator from Valeo, a Tier 1 OEM supplier, offers OE quality and fit, providing a reliable solution for a failing or worn-out original part. If your BMW is experiencing power issues, such as a battery drain while the engine is running, dimming lights, or malfunctioning electrical components like the radio or power windows, a faulty alternator is a likely cause. This alternator boasts a 120-amp output and features a 6-groove pulley designed for clockwise rotation. It is specifically engineered as an OEM replacement for BMW part numbers 12317831436 and 12317830791. The product is made in Poland and carries an OE quality designation. Symptoms of a failing alternator can include a battery that drains while the car is running, low voltage readings, dim or flickering headlights and interior lights, and the non-functional operation of electrical systems such as the radio, power windows, or sunroof. It's also advisable to check the belt tension driving the alternator. This Valeo alternator is confirmed to fit the following BMW models: M3 (2001-2006, 3.2L L6 S54 Gas, Manual RWD Convertible/Coupe) and Z3 M Coupe/Roadster (2001-2002, 3.2L L6 S54 Gas, Manual RWD Coupe/Convertible).
