The Vintage Speed German Look Sport Muffler offers a performance upgrade for Karmann Ghia and custom lowered VW Bug vehicles. This exhaust system is crafted from 100% #304 stainless steel, ensuring longevity and resistance to corrosion. It features adjustable flanges with a ±4mm range, allowing for compatibility with stroker or narrower engines. The sport muffler is designed for engines producing up to 125 horsepower, with a SuperFlow option available for up to 150HP. Key features include M18x1.5 nuts integrated into the headers for Lambda sensor installation, facilitating carburetor tuning. Fiberglass fire sleeves are incorporated on header pipes #2 and #4 to protect adjacent fresh air hoses. The tail pipes measure 50mm O.D. with a 35mm I.D. Installation notes indicate the use of the original 111 298 051A gasket for the heater box, which is sold separately. Options such as a factory Type 181 style heat riser and flange adaptors for the heater box are also available, with the heater box 35mm flange sold separately.
