Description

The Shorai LFX14L2-BS12 is a 12V Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LiFePO4) powersports battery engineered for enhanced starting performance and significant weight reduction. Key specifications include a 12V nominal voltage, a 4.4Ah storage capacity (equivalent to 14Ah lead-acid), and a 210A CCA rating for robust cold-start performance. The battery measures 113mm in length, 58mm in depth, and 89mm in height, with a weight of only 0.66kg. It features a rugged carbon composite casing and a terminal layout with the negative (-) on the left and positive (+) on the right when viewed with terminals nearest to you. It's important to note that Lithium batteries are more sensitive to overcharging than conventional lead-acid batteries. Therefore, the LFX14L2-BS12 should only be used with newer motorcycles equipped with sophisticated electronically controlled charging systems, and not with older bikes that may have mechanical voltage regulators, as this risks overcharging and damaging the battery. For optimal performance and longevity, always use a lithium-optimized charger, such as the Optimate Lithium 0.8 or CTEK LithiumXS.
