The Rockford Fosgate R165-S is a 6.5" 2-way component speaker system engineered as a direct OEM replacement for a new generation of factory speakers. It utilizes a mica-injected polypropylene cone for enhanced frequency response and is paired with a 1/2" Mylar balanced dome tweeter designed to deliver crisp, clear high frequencies. This system aims to provide authentic Rockford Fosgate sound. Key specifications include a 40 Watts RMS power handling (80 Watts Max) and a 4-Ohm nominal impedance. The woofers have a mounting depth of 1.97 inches, while the tweeters have a shallower mounting depth of 1.06 inches. The system boasts a frequency response of 60Hz - 20kHz and comes with an integrated in-line crossover for simplified installation, supporting flush, surface, and angle mounting options for the tweeters. Each kit includes two woofers, two tweeters, grilles, and all necessary mounting hardware, sold in pairs. The R165-S is CEA-2031 compliant, ensuring it meets industry standards for power handling.
