The JL Audio 12W0v3-4 is a 12-inch car subwoofer engineered for robust performance and superior efficiency, positioning it at the top of its price class. This model boasts a substantial 2-inch diameter voice coil and JL Audio's innovative Elevated Frame Cooling design, which significantly boosts power handling capabilities and ensures long-term reliability. The W0v3 series subwoofer is constructed with a tough polypropylene cone designed to resist flexing, paired with a durable foam surround built to withstand demanding use. It offers a continuous power handling (RMS) of 300 watts, with a recommended amplifier power range of 75 to 300 watts RMS, and a peak power handling of 600 watts. The nominal impedance is 4 Ohms. While marketed for specific vehicles like the Toyota 4Runner, this subwoofer is generally considered universal, though some adaptation may be required for installation. Buyers have noted that custom mounting solutions or adjustments to bolt hole locations might be necessary for a perfect fit in certain applications.
