The JL Audio 12W7AE-3 Anniversary Edition W7 Series subwoofer redefines low-frequency reproduction, building on a decade of groundbreaking design. This 12-inch, 3-ohm driver is constructed with a polypropylene W-Cone and a polyester foam surround, housed within a solid cast-alloy basket for durability and optimal performance. JL Audio has incorporated six patented technologies into the 12W7AE-3 to deliver unmatched bass. These include the W-Cone™ for a super-rigid, lightweight cone that responds rapidly, and OverRoll™ technology which allows for more usable cone area for deeper lows. The Floating Cone Attach Method (FCAM™) ensures incredibly linear woofer movement for accurate bass, while the plateau-reinforced spider attachment enhances reliability and extended excursion. Elevated frame cooling and a cross-drilled pole-piece work together to keep the voice coils cool under demanding use. With a power range of 400-1000 watts RMS and a peak power handling of 2000 watts, this subwoofer is designed for profound bass that enhances any music genre. It boasts a frequency response of 18-200 Hz and a sensitivity of 86.2 dB. The recommended sealed box volume is 1.375 cubic feet, and the ported box volume is 1.75 cubic feet.
