The calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, utilizing a one-piece forged design that eliminates weak spots found in cast or welded components. This construction ensures unparalleled strength, lightness, and resistance to corrosion. The calipers feature aluminum pistons and heavy-duty seals capable of handling high temperatures, ensuring smooth and even brake pad operation without drag. An opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad wear and grip on both sides of the rotor. This kit features two-piece 13-inch drilled rotors, which are approximately 50% lighter than OEM one-piece rotors. The two-piece design allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, reducing the risk of warping due to heat buildup. Lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass for quicker wheel response and improved braking agility. The drilled rotor design is recommended for daily driven vehicles as it helps dissipate heat more effectively than slotted rotors, contributing to cooler operation. Included standard with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade option to RCI Race Pads is available for those who prioritize extreme track performance. The kit also comes with D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent hose expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. The kit is made to order, and customization options for caliper color, center bell upgrades, and pad types are available.
