The Desolate Motorsports Big Front Brake Upgrade Kit is engineered for 1980-1996 Bronco and 4WD F-150 models, offering a substantial improvement in braking performance. This kit utilizes stock Dana 44 steering knuckles and includes a billet caliper mount machined from 6061 aluminum. It allows for the mounting of a Wilwood 4-piston caliper and a large 13-inch drilled and slotted rotor, designed to dissipate heat effectively and provide superior clamping force for enhanced stopping power. The caliper adaptors are hard anodized for precision fitment and strength. Installation of this kit requires cutting of the factory caliper bracket on the knuckle. Additionally, new brake lines are necessary as the caliper connection differs from the factory setup. This kit is designed for 4WD knuckles only and does not fit the 1987 integrated hub design. It also requires 16-inch or larger wheels; it will not work with 15-inch wheels. The kit includes Desolate Motorsports billet caliper brackets, Wilwood 4-piston calipers, brake pads, drilled and slotted 13-inch rotors, and a hardware kit. Optional front wheel studs and brake lines can also be added.
