1350 Series Carbon Fiber Driveshaft Assembly

The Vargas Turbocharger Technologies BMW carbon fiber driveshaft provides a high-performance alternative to factory components, utilizing 3-inch carbon fiber tubing with a 1.55-inch wall thickness for maximum torsional strength. Each shaft is bonded using a proprietary high-strength process and features NEAPCO Performance 1350 series U-joints. To ensure consistency under stress, every unit is bi-directional torque tested to 3,000 ft-lbs and computer-balanced as a complete assembly. Designed to eliminate factory guibos and unnecessary flex points, the kit includes VTT-designed 7075 aluminum front adapters and a 4340 steel rear adapter for improved reliability. Because this system uses solid aluminum adapters rather than rubber factory components, some drivetrain vibration may be introduced during certain RPM ranges, particularly during deceleration. This is considered normal and varies based on the vehicle's overall drivetrain condition and alignment. Installation requires verifying adequate clearance throughout the full range of suspension and drivetrain movement, as this driveshaft has a larger diameter than the factory part. All supplied hardware must be installed using the included medium-strength threadlocker.
