This kit includes a welded-in rear tube yoke and a front tube ready for user welding.

The kit comes with 27 splines for compatibility with popular transmissions and includes both front and rear 1350 U-joints, with the rear joints pre-installed. It is suitable for custom builds, hot rods, muscle cars, and kit cars with power outputs up to 600 horsepower.

The U-Weld-It Custom Steel Driveshaft Kit offers a versatile solution for custom vehicle builds, providing a ready-to-finish steel driveshaft for applications up to 600 horsepower. This kit is ideal for hot rods, muscle cars, and kit cars, bridging the gap between expensive pre-finished driveshafts and the need for custom fabrication. Constructed from durable 3-inch OD 1020 steel tubing with a 0.083-inch wall thickness, this 50-inch driveshaft features a welded-in rear tube yoke and a front tube that requires user welding for a tailored fit. The kit is equipped with a 1350 series U-joint configuration, common in many performance applications, and includes 27 splines for broad transmission compatibility. Both front and rear 1350 U-joints are included, with the rear U-joints pre-installed for convenience. Installation requires the user to weld the front tube to the desired length and to balance the driveshaft before road use, as stated in the installation tips. The driveshaft tube is easily cut to size using a cutoff saw or bandsaw. This kit allows for significant customization and can help keep driveshaft costs under control compared to fully assembled units. Note that this is a kit requiring custom fabrication and balancing.
