This 14-row kit features an integrated thermostat that promotes quicker engine warm-up and ensures oil doesn't reach critical overheating levels, maintaining optimal engine performance. The cooler core is strategically integrated into the inner section of the factory front bumper, located ahead of the right wheel. This placement allows for efficient engine oil cooling without interfering with the radiator's operation or the functionality of the factory louvers. Slight modifications to the grill and inner wheel well lining are required to optimize airflow for the cooler and allow it to exit the bumper area; extruded metal mesh is included to facilitate this exit flow. For enhanced monitoring, the oil filter adapter is equipped with two 1/8th" NPT ports, enabling the installation of aftermarket oil temperature and pressure sensors. The kit's construction emphasizes durability and aesthetics, with all metal components undergoing powder coating or hard anodization. Additionally, the kit facilitates the use of the Subaru OEM oil filter (part number 15208AA100). User reviews indicate significant temperature reductions, with one user reporting temperatures consistently below 200°F after spirited driving, compared to previous highs of over 230°F.
