Description

The CMC280 is a clutch master cylinder manufactured by Phoenix Friction Products. This OE replacement master cylinder features hydraulic components made by OE manufacturers. The unit weighs 3 lbs and has a handling time of 1-2 days. Proper function requires the hydraulic system to be bled of all air using new DOT 3 brake fluid, and clutch pedal height and free play should be checked.

If the DOT 3 fluid in the system is discolored, it indicates contamination and the fluid must be replaced. Black discoloration suggests worn master or slave cylinder seals, and replacing these components is strongly recommended to prevent future issues.
