15x8 Inch Black D-Hole Wheel

The Bassett D58DJ3 is a DOT-approved 15x8 inch black D-hole wheel engineered for IMCA hobby stock and street stock racers, offering the same robust construction and high strength found in Bassett's Cup/Busch/Truck certified wheels. It is notably the lightest wheel available on the market and, conforming to DOT specifications, is street-legal. Constructed from steel with a durable black powder-coated finish, this wheel measures 15 inches in diameter with an 8-inch width and features a 5x5.5 inch (5x139.7mm) bolt pattern. It boasts a 3-inch backspace and a -38mm offset, contributing to its aggressive stance and performance capabilities. The D-hole design provides excellent brake cooling, while the beadlock is not included. Note that this wheel is sold individually and does not come with a valve stem, center cap, or lug nuts. Lug nuts must feature a 45-degree conical seat. A critical consideration for this Bassett wheel is its lug-centric nature. Unlike hub-centric wheels, Bassett wheels are constructed and trued off the bolt circle, not the center hub bore. This means that standard tire balancers that center on the hub bore will produce incorrect readings for rim runout. For accurate balancing, an experienced tire mounter using a specialized machine like the Hunter GSP 9700 with a flange plate bolt circle adapter is recommended. Balancing should always be performed off the bolt circle, not the center hole.
