This 66MM BorgWarner SX-E Supercore is a turbocharger designed for high-performance diesel engines. H&S Motorsports has conducted extensive testing and found that these turbochargers are well-suited for 5.9L/6.7L Cummins, 6.4L/6.7L Ford, and 6.6L Duramax engines. This particular option includes a 66mm compressor wheel and a 73mm turbine wheel. The 73mm turbine wheel, while larger than commonly used, features a twin-scroll design that helps maintain responsiveness and driveability at lower RPMs. The benefits of this larger turbine wheel include reduced drive pressure, lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), and increased power output. Testing has shown an average of a 200-degree drop in peak EGTs compared to most factory turbocharger setups. All SX-E turbos feature Forged Milled Wheels (FMW) and enhanced compressor covers with integrated speed sensor ports and pre-machined boost ports. BorgWarner has also incorporated a 6-pad or 360-degree severe-duty thrust bearing in all SX-E turbochargers for enhanced durability.
