Superchargers provide instant boost that increases with RPM, and this system's negligible pressure drop allows the supercharger to operate more efficiently. By delivering cooler, denser intake air, it significantly reduces timing retard, leading to increased horsepower. It boasts a typical efficiency of 80-85%, calculated based on temperature differentials, and is designed to achieve the least amount of pressure drop possible. Plastic panels are included to enlarge the radiator shroud area, further enhancing cooling capabilities. This intercooler system offers several benefits, including reduced chances of detonation due to cooler air, the potential for more added timing (less retard), and the ability to safely add more boost. The system is compatible with Mazda Miata MX-5 models from 1990-2005.
