165cc Renegade SBF Aluminum Cylinder Head

The AFR 165cc Renegade SBF cylinder head is engineered to be the preferred choice over re-worked factory heads, offering significant improvements in airflow and performance for Small Block Ford engines. Constructed from A356 aluminum castings, these heads feature 100% CNC ported intake runners, exhaust ports, and combustion chambers for optimal flow. The "Street" version is emissions-legal under CARB EO #D-250-3 and is compatible with OEM piston valve reliefs. Key specifications include 165cc intake runners, 68cc exhaust ports, and a 58cc combustion chamber volume (60cc for pedestal mount heads). The heads are equipped with lightweight 1.900" intake valves and 1.600" exhaust valves. A 3/4" thick head deck makes them suitable for nitrous or blower applications. These heads are designed to fit all stock components without requiring special parts, making installation straightforward for 289 and 302 engines operating from idle to 6000 RPM. Included components in the basic package consist of PAC Racing dual valve springs (upgrades available), 7° retainers, valve keepers, ARP rocker studs, adjustable guide plates, Viton valve seals, and ductile iron valve seats. Hardened push rods are required for installation, and these heads will not accept shaft mount rocker arms. Optional component upgrade and machining services are available to further customize the heads for specific builds. The emissions legal versions (Part numbers 14xx) are legal for 1995 and older emissions-controlled vehicles.
