165cc Renegade Street Aluminum Cylinder Heads

The AFR 165cc Renegade Street aluminum cylinder heads are a performance upgrade for Small Block Ford engines, specifically designed for 289 and 302ci applications operating from idle to 6000 rpm. These re-engineered heads offer an average 12 CFM increase in flow from .200-.550 lift compared to previous 165cc models, making them ideal for street cars seeking enhanced performance. Constructed from A356 aluminum, these heads feature 100% CNC ported intake, exhaust, and combustion chambers. They are equipped with 1.900" intake valves and 1.600" exhaust valves, a 165cc intake port volume, and 58cc combustion chambers. The assembly includes 1.290" PAC Racing dual valve springs, rated for .600" maximum lift and supporting up to 6300-6500 RPM. The design incorporates an angle plug and a 3/4" thick head deck, making them robust enough for nitrous or blower applications. AFR's performance cylinder heads are certified emission legal under CARB EO #250-3, ensuring compatibility with stock components without special parts for 1995 and older emissions-controlled vehicles. While they fit stock components, it's important to note that these heads will not accept rail rocker arms, and hardened push rods are required for all applications.
