Overview

The TCI 399973 is an SFI 29.1 approved flexplate designed for BB Chevy engines. It features a 168-tooth count, dual bolt pattern, and is intended for use with 1-piece crank seals and cast iron crankshafts. This flexplate is constructed from a high tensile strength material to resist elongation and cracking, with a starter ring welded to both sides for added durability. It is sized for stock 3/8" mounting bolts and can be drilled for 7/16" torque converter applications.

The TCI 399973 is a robust flexplate engineered for specific Big Block Chevy applications, including Gen V 454 and 502 engines from 1991-1998 that feature one-piece rear main seals and cast iron crankshafts. It meets SFI 29.1 approval, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards for performance use. Constructed from a high tensile strength steel, this flexplate is .035" thicker than stock, and its starter ring gear is welded to both sides for enhanced strength and durability, resisting elongation and cracking. This flexplate features a 168-tooth count and a dual bolt pattern compatible with GM applications. It is sized for standard 3/8" mounting bolts and includes the capability to be drilled for 7/16" diameter high-performance torque converter bolts. TCI has designed this flexplate to be a reliable component for stock to mild performance applications, offering a balance of strength and practicality.
