Overview

It features a 168-tooth ring gear and an internal balance. This flexplate is constructed from a thicker-than-stock steel plate to withstand high-stall torque converters and high-RPM engines.

The Hays Steel SFI Certified Flexplate (part #10-010) is engineered for high-performance competition Chevy engines, offering a heavy-duty design that is 0.030 inches thicker than stock. Constructed from steel, this flexplate is built to withstand the stress of high-stall torque converters and high-RPM operation. It features a securely welded 168-tooth ring gear and a dual bolt pattern compatible with Powerglide or Turbo style torque converters. The flexplate is designed for internally balanced engines, specifically fitting 396, 402, and 427 big block engines, as well as Small Block Gen I applications from 1957-1985 and Big Block engines from 1965-1970. It is important to note that 454 and larger big block engines were externally balanced from the factory and are not compatible with this flexplate. This flexplate is S.F.I. 29.1 certified and treated with a zinc dichromate plating to provide resistance against corrosion. It is legal for use on emissions-controlled, uncontrolled, and racing vehicles as it does not affect vehicle emissions. The product comes with a Manufacturer's 90 Day Warranty.
