DIFFERENTIAL RING AND PINION FOR GM 8.5"/8.625" (10 BOLT); PERFORMANCE RING AND PINION; 2.73 RATIO; REQUIRES A 2.73 AND NUMERICALLY HIGHER RATIO CARRIER. Motive Gear offers some of the toughest drive train components on the market today. Motive Gear Performance uses 8620 first run steel so that it can greatly reduce the amount of imperfections in the casting material. Once cast, these gears are precision machined and then lapped for smooth performance and quiet operation. The heat tempering, to make these gears even harder, is computer controlled to get the optimum hardness every time.
