This camshaft was designed and built by diesel enthusiast engineers. It is intended for Hot Street / Competition use. Requires .030" piston fly-cuts. Requires valve spring upgrade. Requires RCD chromoly push rods. Optimized valve timing, increased lift and duration for maximum torque & horsepower. IMPORTANT: This camshaft DOES NOT have a mechanical fuel pump eccentric lobe. When used in OBS (Old Body Style) trucks, an electric fuel pump (similar to AirDog or FASS) will be needed. This cam is a true "Stage II" which requires valve pockets in the pistons. RCD camshafts are turned in the USA from premium bearing grade 8620 steel and carburized, producing a wear resistant surface while maintaining core toughness. After heat treatment, lobes are finished using a Landis CNC cam grinder providing unmatched timing and profile accuracy. Quality control is maintained using an Adcole measurement machine, an OEM industry standard. This attention to detail ensures every camshaft will perform to, or above customer expectations.
