The Motorad 2028-170 is a high-flow engine coolant thermostat engineered to operate at 170 degrees Fahrenheit. It is manufactured with OEM quality materials and adheres to safety standards, making it suitable for demanding automotive cooling systems. The thermostat is constructed from high-grade stainless steel and copper, ensuring increased strength and durability. This thermostat features a larger opening compared to OEM specifications, which allows for increased coolant flow. The unit includes an offset design, air relief valve, and OEM-style seals where applicable, and it is rigorously tested and calibrated to meet or exceed OEM standards for consistent and precise performance. Key specifications include a bypass length of 1.40 inches, a bypass diameter of 1.09 inches, and a sealing flange outside diameter of 2.12 inches. The thermostat does not include a gasket or seal, but a jiggle pin weep hole is present. Its flange thickness is 0.06 inches, and the depth is 1.39 inches. This is a non-electric thermostat with a jiggle pin check valve quantity of 1.
