180 Degree High-Flow Thermostat

The Robertshaw 330-180 is a high-flow thermostat, precision engineered for improved engine cooling and performance. Constructed with durable copper and brass, this thermostat features a short stroke piston actuated by a "power pill." This innovative "power pill" utilizes a temperature-sensitive metallic powder and wax mixture to detect minute temperature changes, enabling lightning-fast piston response. Operating at a 180°F opening temperature, the 330-180 is designed to maintain your engine's optimal heat range, crucial for maximizing power output and overall performance. Its high-flow design makes it particularly suitable for applications with high-flow water pumps, ensuring efficient coolant circulation. This Robertshaw thermostat is recommended for use with FlowKooler high-flow water pumps. It is compatible with 1962-1968 Chevy II and 1969-1979 Nova models. Additionally, it fits 1997 and newer 6.5L diesel engines, as well as all applications requiring a dual thermostat configuration upgrade. Note that two thermostats are required for dual thermostat setups, and all 330 series stats include a rubber O-ring, negating the need for an additional gasket.
