185°F Thermostat and Housing

The RIPP Superchargers BT-005 is a thermostat and housing specifically engineered for supercharged 3.6L V6 engines. It is designed to increase the efficiency of your engine's cooling system by opening at 185°F, which is significantly earlier than the standard factory thermostat that opens at 210°F. This earlier opening allows coolant to circulate sooner, which helps to reduce and maintain lower operating temperatures within the engine. It is also a beneficial upgrade for vehicles equipped with aftermarket radiators and fans. This thermostat housing incorporates a unique design feature: a longer piston that increases the thermostat valve lift to an impressive 12mm, compared to the typical 7mm lift found in factory thermostats. This increased lift allows for greater coolant flow through the system, directly contributing to enhanced cooling performance and better heat management. The housing itself is constructed from PP GF20% material and includes an O-ring gasket and a bleeder screw. It is crucial to note that this thermostat and housing assembly is exclusively for vehicles equipped with a RIPP Supercharger system, as the coolant flow path is altered. The product contains a 185-degree thermostat, not a 180-degree version.
