The PPE Heavy-Duty Cast Aluminum Transmission Pan is designed to improve transmission life by reducing fluid temperatures. It is cast from high-grade A356.0-T6 aluminum alloy and offers one quart of additional fluid capacity. The pan features deep external cooling fins to maximize heat dissipation and increase impact resistance. Built-in baffles at the bottom of the pan enhance heat transfer and reduce fluid sloshing for consistent fluid pickup. Unlike the factory plastic pan, the PPE pan utilizes a replaceable filter (SKU 228058700), making fluid services easier and more cost-effective. It also includes a high-temperature-rated neodymium magnet in the drain plug to capture ferrous metal particles. The external cooling fins of this specific pan (228153500/228153520) are machined for clearance with the exhaust cross pipe in 3.6L V6 applications.
