This kit is designed to provide an oil temperature reduction of 30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit, thereby preventing the engine from entering a reduced power mode due to excessive heat. It achieves this by circulating hot oil outside the motor through a high-efficiency Setrab core. This kit features a robust 19-row x 11.25" Setrab core, renowned for its excellent cooling capabilities and used by top racing teams and in OEM vehicles from manufacturers like Aston-Martin, Ferrari, and Audi RS. The oil lines are constructed from Goodridge stainless steel, a leader in motorsports for high-performance braided hoses, ensuring durability and reliability. The kit comes complete with all necessary adapters, fittings, and hardware for installation, including a vehicle-specific bracket. A key component is the thermostatic bypass plate, which intelligently prevents overcooling of the oil, ensuring optimal operating temperature. Installation will require drilling mounting holes, and instructions are provided. It is important to note that this oil cooler kit cannot be mounted on a 350Z equipped with a long and low aftermarket cold air intake system due to potential interference issues. Additionally, it will not fit Nismo 370Z models without custom modifications, for which instructions are not supplied. For kits equipped with a thermostatic plate, it is crucial to use a Fram Oil Filter or an equivalent that ensures a proper seal.
