The Mishimoto MMOC-STI-08T-MM is a direct-fit thermostatic oil cooler kit engineered for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX STI models with EJ257 engines and GR/GV chassis codes. This kit aims to significantly improve oil temperature control, reducing temperatures by 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit (16+ degrees Celsius) while minimizing pressure loss. The system utilizes a substantial 19-row cooler, positioned in the front bumper to maximize airflow and cooling performance, crucial for maintaining consistent power and engine longevity under street or track conditions. Installation is streamlined thanks to the included direct-fit mounting brackets and pre-assembled stainless steel lines equipped with -10AN fittings. For enhanced protection against heat, the kit comes with thermal reflective wrap for the oil lines, deflecting heat from the nearby exhaust system. The thermostatic sandwich plate allows for further control over oil temperatures, with optional thermostats available at 160°F, 185°F, and 200°F to suit various driving needs. Specifications include a core height of 5.43 inches, a core length of 11 inches, and a core thickness of 1.97 inches.
