The Mishimoto oil cooler kit provides a direct-fit solution designed specifically for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX, addressing the limitations of the stock liquid-to-liquid oil cooler during prolonged aggressive driving or track use. This kit is engineered to work alongside the factory cooler, ensuring optimal oil temperatures and extending the life of your high-performance FA20 DIT engine. This comprehensive kit features a substantial 19-row oil cooler, strategically positioned in the lower grille for maximum airflow. Installation is facilitated by robust, application-specific brackets. A key component is the billet aluminum thermostatic oil sandwich plate, which allows oil to reach its optimal operating temperature efficiently. The kit includes pre-assembled stainless steel braided oil lines equipped with -10AN fittings, ensuring a secure and efficient flow of oil to and from the cooler. Installation is rated at medium difficulty and requires no modification to the vehicle. The kit includes 9 parts and bypasses the stock liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger with silicone hoses.
