The Motorcraft RT-1160 is a genuine OE engine coolant thermostat assembly, engineered to provide the fit and function expected for Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. It has a specified operating temperature of 190 degrees Fahrenheit. This thermostat is a direct replacement for the original equipment on specific Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer models with the 4.0L V6 engine. Fitment details indicate compatibility with models up to July 24, 2000, including SOHC engines and specific trims like Sport and Sport Trac. It is noted that this thermostat is included with the housing assembly.
