195cc SBC Street Cylinder Head

The AFR 1034 is a 195cc SBC Street Cylinder Head engineered for performance street applications, offering significant upgrades over stock components. It features 100% CNC ported intake, exhaust, and combustion chambers, manufactured from A356 aluminum castings for durability and performance. This head is optimized for displacements up to 400 cubic inches and is recommended for engine operation up to 6500 RPM. This model, the 1034, comes with a 65cc combustion chamber and a straight plug configuration, complemented by 2.050" intake valves and 1.600" exhaust valves. The cylinder head deck thickness is 0.750", and it features a perimeter bolt valve cover pattern with a 23° valve angle. The intake runner volume is 195cc, with dimensions of 2.110" H x 1.265" W and a stock location. The exhaust port volume is 64cc, with dimensions of 1.450" H x 1.550" W and a .100" raised location. Included components and features consist of a competition 5-angle valve job, 8mm Bead Lock intake and exhaust valves, PAC Racing 1.290" OD Hydraulic Roller Dual Valve Springs (140 lbs on seat, .600" maximum lift, Max RPM 6300-6500), Manley 7° Chrome Moly Retainers, 7° Bead Lock Valve Keepers, ARP 3/8" Rocker Studs, adjustable 5/16" Guide Plates, and Viton Valve Seals. The head also includes hardened valve spring O.D. locators, ductile iron intake and exhaust valve seats, and 8mm bronze valve guides. Important compatibility notes include that this cylinder head is legal for 1994 and older emissions-controlled vehicles under CARB EO #D-250-2. Recommended components include AFR intake gaskets (e.g., AFR #6900) and exhaust port gaskets (AFR #6905), as well as specific head gaskets for 350cid (Fel-Pro #1003, AFR #6800) and 400cid (Fel-Pro #1014, AFR #6802) applications. ARP head bolt kits are also recommended (e.g., ARP #134-3701, AFR #6310). Upgrades for valve springs, retainers, and studs are available to suit higher RPMs and larger cams.
