Description

This Zumbrota Remanufactured Axle Assembly (RAA440-1490) is designed for GM 8.25" front differentials. It measures 34-5/8" long and uses tapered bearings and 1/2" wheel studs. The assembly is rebuilt to high standards with inspected components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. New bearings and seals are installed, and gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact and correct rolling torque, with backlash set for proper lubrication. Axle tubes are inspected for OEM straightness, and the unit undergoes hydro-blast rinsing, sandblasting, and shot-enticed deep cleaning.
