1L Coolant Overflow Expansion Tank

The K-Tuned Universal Swirl Pot, a collaboration with Unit2 Fabrication, is engineered to continuously separate air and steam from your engine's coolant. Mounted in the upper radiator hose, it receives hot coolant, allowing it to swirl within the tank. This process releases trapped air through the center, preventing it from re-entering the coolant. This system is highly recommended for combating high coolant temperatures during demanding track conditions, when paired with an effective radiator and fan setup. Featuring a 1L capacity, the swirl pot includes 16 ORB inlet/outlet fittings and accepts a Type B radiator cap. It also has two 1/8th NPT breather ports, which come with plugs, allowing for direct feed lines to problematic air-trapping areas. The adjustable housing permits customization of the inlet/outlet port orientation, and the radiator cap's position can also be adjusted for optimal overflow port alignment. K-Tuned offers both flat and 90-degree universal mounting brackets (sold separately) for versatile installation. While this is a universal unit, K-Tuned also offers specific K-Series packages. These packages are designed for PRB/K20 or K24 style cylinder heads and include an upper coolant housing, custom fitting, and hose to connect the head to the swirl pot, along with brackets for mounting to the top of the transmission. For these kits, you will need to run a hose from the swirl pot's bottom outlet to the top of your radiator. Additionally, it is necessary to securely plug or cap off your original radiator overflow port to prevent air ingress or coolant loss, as the system operates under significant pressure.
