Its impact-extruded, clear anodized aluminum body dissipates heat more effectively than steel, while the external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity for consistent damping. The shock utilizes a CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum reservoir and mounting clamp, along with a race-developed high-flow damping piston and application-specific valving for predictable ride quality on rough terrain. This shock absorber is designed for a 0-1 inch lift and fits the front of 1999-2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty, and F-550 Super Duty models, primarily for 4WD applications. All necessary hardware, including washers, bushings, reservoir clamps, and nuts, is included for installation, with factory shock mounting bolts being reused. Shock boots and mounting plates are sold separately. Fox offers a one-year limited warranty on this suspension product, covering defects in materials and workmanship for the original retail owner. Installation labor charges and ancillary fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.
