The Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP smooth body shock absorber is engineered to significantly transform the driving experience in your Truck or SUV. The shock body is precision-machined from impact aluminum, offering superior cooling capabilities and long-term rust resistance. Internally, the IFP mono-tube design is crucial for optimal performance. This construction method separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber, effectively preventing oil aeration. This separation allows the factory-tuned precision valving to operate at its full potential. The shock features a race-developed high-flow damping piston and application-specific valving, providing a predictable and responsive ride that can effectively manage rough road conditions. This specific shock absorber (part number 985-24-086) has an extended length of 22.65 inches, a compressed length of 14.55 inches, and 8.1 inches of travel. It is designed for rear axle applications and is compatible with vehicles requiring a 2-3 inch lift. The top mount is a BARPIN type, and the bottom mount is EYELET/SLEEVE. The shock includes all necessary washers, bushings, reservoir clamps, and nuts for installation, utilizing factory shock mounting bolts.
