Overview

The Honda K20Z3 is a remanufactured 2.0L L4 gasoline engine designed for 2006-2011 Acura Honda vehicles. It meets or exceeds OEM specifications and undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. This includes deep cleaning, Magnaflux testing for cracks, CNC machining of deck surfaces, and replacement of key internal parts like bearings, pistons, rings, and oil pump. The engine is SIM tested for compression and oil/cooling system integrity.

The Honda K20Z3 is a fully remanufactured 2.0L L4 engine, built to meet or exceed original equipment manufacturer specifications for 2006-2011 Acura Honda vehicles. The remanufacturing process begins with a thorough disassembly and cleaning of all components, followed by Magnaflux testing to detect microscopic cracks and fissures. Deck surfaces are CNC machined, and critical wear items are replaced with new parts, including bearings, pistons, rings, lifters, oil pump, gaskets, valve seals, and freeze plugs. The timing system receives a new chain or belt with new tensioners, and if applicable, a new water pump is installed. Each remanufactured K20Z3 engine undergoes SIM testing after reassembly. This process involves pressurizing the cooling and oil systems and spinning the crankshaft at high RPM to verify compression and overall build quality. This meticulous approach allows Powertrain Products to offer industry-leading warranties, including up to 7 years or 1 million miles. Verification of fitment is crucial and can be done using the VIN code, casting numbers (K20Z3, RRA block casting; PRB crank casting; LEFT BELL HOUSING STAMPED K20Z3, CAST "RRA" casting location), or by contacting the manufacturer. This engine features a DOHC head type, 16 valves, and has a displacement of 2.0L.
