The BAR-TEK® 21tf398 is a low-pressure fuel pump control unit designed for 2.0L TFSI & TSI engines. This unit is essential when upgrading to a more powerful fuel pump, as the stock control unit may not be able to handle the increased power. It ensures optimal performance of the upgrade pump.

If you've installed an upgraded fuel pump, this control unit is crucial to ensure it functions correctly and delivers optimal performance. Without it, the stock control unit may struggle with the extra power demands of the upgrade pump. Installation is straightforward with a plug-and-play design, requiring no changes to the engine's standard software. After installation, it is recommended to check and potentially readjust the fuel gauge using VCDS if necessary. The unit has a maximum current consumption of 17 amps. If your pump is not functioning correctly post-installation, the software tuner should be consulted to program the pump control (PWM signal) to series specifications. This control unit is made in Germany and comes with a three-year warranty from BAR-TEK®, though certain conditions apply. Exclusions from the warranty include improper installation or maintenance, opening the unit, incorrect engine tuning (e.g., excessive boost pressure or exhaust gas temperature), use of unsuitable lubricants, foreign object damage, boost pressure system leaks, contaminants in the oil, blocked engine ventilation, increased exhaust back pressure, inadequate intake or component dimensioning, theft, accidents, flooding, or exceeding maximum turbo speed. Racing engines are excluded from the warranty.
