Description

The CTS Turbo 2.0T Direct Fit FMIC Kit serves as a direct replacement for the factory front-mounted intercooler (FMIC) on the Volkswagen EOS 2007-2016. While the stock FMIC is sufficient for factory boost levels, it struggles to manage charged air temperatures when boost is increased via ECU tuning. Elevated air temperatures can lead to power loss through boost cut and timing pull. A reduced pressure drop allows the turbocharger to operate more efficiently, requiring less effort to achieve desired boost levels. This not only extends the turbo's lifespan but also results in cooler, denser air charge leaving the turbo, ultimately translating to more power at the wheels. The intercooler is rated for power levels exceeding 600HP and features cast aluminum high-efficiency end tanks.
