2.0T FDS Performance Intercooler

The Integrated Engineering FDS performance intercooler system is engineered to directly replace the factory unit in various VW and Audi 2.0T applications, offering significant improvements in cooling efficiency and performance. It utilizes a larger, denser bar-and-plate core with 54% greater volume than OEM, combined with the FDS technology to ensure effective utilization of the entire core surface. This design effectively combats heat soak, allowing for sustained power output during prolonged acceleration or multiple power pulls. Its construction minimizes pressure drop, allowing the turbocharger to operate more efficiently. Installation is designed as a direct OEM replacement, utilizing factory mounting points and requiring no cutting or permanent modifications, though some technical expertise is recommended. Specific fitment notes apply: The 2013.5+ MK6 Jetta & GLI with the Gen 3 TSI engine requires the IE Gen 3 MK6 Charge Pipe Kit (part number IETPCC12). Additionally, many Audi TSI models may require custom work to lengthen the passenger side inlet hose. Some VW models, including the CC, Eos, and B6/B7 Passat, may also require custom inlet hoses, while the Tiguan requires custom intercooler hoses. Fitment with aftermarket radiators has not been confirmed, and the use of the OEM radiator is recommended. The intercooler has been tested to support over 700hp and is an ideal upgrade for vehicles with upgraded turbos or aggressive ECU tunes, ensuring cool charge air even under demanding driving conditions.
