2.0T TSI Custom Forged Pistons 82.5mm

Integrated Engineering has partnered with Mahle to develop these custom-spec pistons for VW and Audi 2.0T TSI engines, specifically targeting 2008+ high-performance applications. Engineered for superior strength and longevity when paired with IE connecting rods, these pistons are crafted from Mahle's proprietary 142P alloy, offering a balance of low-expansion characteristics and high strength. The pistons feature a Grafal anti-friction skirt coating for reduced noise and wear, as well as hard-anodized ring landings to prevent micro-welding and ensure a tight seal. These pistons are available in two bore sizes: 82.5mm (stock) for a direct drop-in replacement without removing the engine block, or 83mm (+.5mm overbore) to increase displacement to 2008cc and allow for precise boring and honing. The product includes high-strength 22mm German steel wrist pins and wire locks. They are designed with OEM-like features, including factory-style dish crowns for smooth direct injection operation and oil squirter notches, ensuring no interference. Compression ratios are optimized to be close to factory specifications to avoid knocking, with Gen 1 & 2 EA888 engines (2008-2014) at 9.5:1 CR and Gen 3 engines (2015+) at 9.3:1 CR. It is crucial to note that these pistons require aftermarket connecting rods with a non-tapered 22mm small-end to match the included wrist pins. The pistons are designed for a perfect match with IE's range of 2.0T TSI performance connecting rods, ensuring a robust bottom-end build.
