The Unitronic Performance Downpipe is engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for 2.0TSI MQB EA888.3 FWD vehicles, aiming to optimize exhaust flow and performance. By removing factory restrictions, it effectively reduces turbo lag and contributes to a more aggressive exhaust note. At its core is a 5-inch, 400 cpsi GESI G-Sport UHO+ catalytic converter, designed in partnership with Unitronic and rated for up to 1000HP. The downpipe construction features CFD-optimized upper castings for efficient flow into the converter, TIG-welded seams, and an OEM-style corrugated mesh flex bellow. It maintains the factory oxygen sensor provision and includes a stainless steel midpipe section and reducer, secured by a unique V-band fastening system with Clampco® clamps for a leakproof, aligned connection. Installation is designed to be a direct OEM replacement, achievable within a few hours with moderate mechanical skill, utilizing precise fitment derived from 3D modeling. The product requires Unitronic Stage 2 Performance Software to function optimally. Reducers are available for compatibility with both factory and upgraded cat-back exhaust systems.
