The VDO Cockpit Royale oil temperature gauge is ideal for custom vehicle builds, offering a blend of nostalgic aesthetics and VDO's renowned quality and accuracy. This gauge sports a brilliant chrome bezel and a crisp white dial with authentic period typography, evoking the look of the 1930s and 1940s. Key specifications include a temperature range of 120° to 300°F, an ohm range of 322.8Ω to 18.6Ω, and a standard 12-volt operation. The 2 1/16" (52mm) diameter fits seamlessly into most dash configurations, and the short sweep dial provides clear readings. It features VDO's air core electric movements, computer-balanced pointers, and fully illuminated dials for easy visibility. Standard 0.25" spade connectors simplify wiring, and the VDO Spin-lok mounting system ensures secure installation. For optimal performance, this gauge requires a compatible VDO sender, such as the 323-057 Temperature Sender (sold separately), which is rated for up to 300°F/150°C and features a 1/8" - 27 NPT thread.
