Overview

It features a 2.2" (56mm) heavy-duty shock body and a monotube IFP design for consistent damping and comfort. This strut is built to handle extreme conditions, offering fade resistance and reliability for various terrains, towing, and highway driving.

Constructed with a hi-flow CNC 6061 Billet alloy piston and a 3mm thick DOM body tubing, it is also EDP-coated for corrosion resistance. The sealing system is a heavy-duty 3-stage FKM HNBR for durability.

The Dobinsons IMS 2.2″ Monotube Strut is engineered for demanding off-road and overlanding use, offering maximum performance and durability. This strut features a robust 2.2″ (56mm) heavy-duty shock body and an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design. This construction ensures consistent damping and comfort, even under extreme conditions. Key features of this strut include a race-inspired, high-flow CNC-machined 6061 Billet alloy piston with a 50mm bore for superior off-road handling. The body is constructed from 3mm thick DOM tubing, honed to tight tolerances for strength, and features an EDP coating for corrosion resistance. The strut also boasts an enormous oil capacity, a heavy-duty 3-stage FKM HNBR sealing system for ultimate reliability, and an adjustable spring seat made from T6 6061 aluminum. This strut serves as a direct, bolt-on replacement, simplifying installation. It is important to note that these struts do not come with coil springs or top mounts. Dobinsons highly recommends having a professional assemble these shocks to ensure optimal performance and fitment. Vehicle Fitment: This strut is specifically designed for the Ford Ranger RA, PU models from 2022 onwards, and the Ford Everest models from 2022 onwards.
