The Techtonics Tuning 253 172C is a single downpipe constructed from stainless steel with a 2.25" pipe diameter. It is specifically designed for Mk4 2.0L 8V engines, fitting the New Beetle, Golf IV, and Jetta IV models manufactured between 2001 and 2005. This downpipe is offered exclusively with a high-flow catalytic converter option. For vehicles equipped with a dual downpipe system (pre-2001 AEG engines), the recommended part numbers are 251.119 and 253.169L cat. It's important to note that this downpipe does not fit 2004-2005 Jetta models equipped with BBW engines. This product is intended for use in 49 states. For California, it is compatible with models up to 2001; for 2001 and later models, customers must call for specific compatibility. Additionally, a California warning regarding Cancer and Reproductive Harm is included, with a reference to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
